Social media strategy

A structured approach to content, positioning and presence across platforms without losing artistic identity.

Portfolio and presentation

Sharper storytelling, stronger portfolio structure and clearer articulation of value for curators, galleries and collectors.

Commercial positioning

Foundations for pricing logic, offer clarity, audience fit and a more confident market-facing practice.

Artist website and digital identity

How to build an online presence that feels refined, credible and aligned with long-term career growth.

Exhibition in Madrid or Barcelona

Depending on the call, students take part in an exhibition in Madrid or Barcelona, adding an international layer that reinforces prestige and gives them a meaningful cultural showcase beyond their home market.

Why this matters

Many talented artists graduate with no roadmap for visibility, income or positioning.

Traditional fine arts education often excels at technique, theory and conceptual development, but still leaves a major gap when it comes to real-world market navigation. Artists may leave university with a strong practice, yet without the tools to communicate their work, attract opportunities or build a sustainable career.

Atenea's role
  • Translate artistic potential into professional structure
  • Help students build credibility in digital and institutional contexts
  • Equip artists with language, materials and strategy for opportunity
  • Support institutions seeking stronger employability outcomes
From VYA Art Gallery to Atenea

Atenea was born from direct experience inside the contemporary art ecosystem

Before Atenea, our previous commercial name was VYA Art Gallery, under which we operated for more than three years. During that time we worked with artists, curated exhibitions and learned firsthand where artistic talent most often fails to translate into professional sustainability.

That experience made one thing clear: visibility alone is not enough. Artists also need strategic tools, commercial understanding and stronger self-presentation. Atenea is the educational evolution of that insight.

Market insight

into what artists, collectors and institutions actually need

What that background adds today
  • Credibility rooted in actual work with artists, not only theory
  • A deeper understanding of the frustrations artists face after graduation
  • A refined educational model shaped by market reality
  • A stronger authority layer for institutions evaluating the partnership

International exhibition track record

Atenea is built on a body of work shaped through exhibitions, fairs and artists from around the world

Before evolving into Atenea, the project developed an active international presence through more than 15 exhibitions and 3 art fairs, in Spain and abroad, while working with over 200 artists across multiple countries. That trajectory brings substance, cultural reach and real market proximity to the educational experience we now offer institutions.

Madrid International exhibition context
Barcelona Cultural prestige and visibility
Why these cities matter

Madrid or Barcelona adds cultural weight, international appeal and prestige to each call.

For international students, both cities are strong signals of seriousness, visibility and relevance within a wider European art context. Each call includes an exhibition in Madrid or Barcelona, which elevates the overall experience and makes the program easier for institutions to position as a meaningful extension of artistic education.
